The Brain vs. The Heart

Everything was fine
It was worth the energy
Worth the time
Then my head filled with worries
My vision of love and happines got blurry
My brain challenged my heart
My heart couldn't take the sound of itself beating and started bleeding
My brain fed worry and doubt to my seemingly powerless heart
Then not long after my heart fought back
Wanting and needing what the brain had taken
It was too late
My heart won the battle but lost the war and witnessed the end of a world
